Sanket is the Head of Business Development at Earth2Orbit. Sanket is also involved in the day-to-day business operations of the company. A space systems engineer, Sanket brings with him strong cross-disciplinary experience in engineering, market research and finance.
He has a Master’s degree in Space Studies from the International Space University (ISU), France. Prior to ISU, he attended the MS/PhD program in Astronautical Engineering at University of Southern California (USC), USA. He also holds a Baccalaureate in Architecture from Bangalore University, India.
At ISU, Sanket played a lead role in setting up the Concurrent Engineering Facility sponsored by the European Space Agency (ESA). At USC, he served as the business operations manager for project LEAPFROG, a student team competing for the Google Lunar X-Prize competition. He has worked on Moon-Mars habitat design projects in Munich and on spacecraft radiation shielding research at the Institute of Biomedical Problems (IBMP) in Moscow.
He is the recipient of the prestigious COSPAR Scholarship (2007) awarded by the Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) and the Lord’s Foundation Scholarship (2008) for Research Excellence at USC. He is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), Space Architecture Technical Committee and chairs the subcommittee on Human Factors.
