Earth2Orbit's Japanese client satellite PROITERES (Project of Osaka Institute
of Technology Electric Rocket Engine onboard small Spaceship) was successfully launched on the Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle
(PSLV-C21) on 9 September 2012. The PROITERES flew
as a secondary payload; the primary payload was the French earth observation satellite SPOT-6 built by Astrium. PROITERES will study
the powered-flight of a small satellite using pulsed plasma thrusters and observe Japan’s Kansai district with a high-resolution camera.
The PSLV-C21 launch marked India’s 100th space mission and Earth2Orbit’s 1st client satellite launch.

by air at Chennai International Airport. PROITERES is then transported by road, escorted by personnel from Earth2Orbit, OIT and the
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) to the
Sriharikota launch site in Andhra Pradesh. OIT professors and students, with support from the ISRO technical staff carry out
checkout tests on-site and integrate the satellite into the rocket payload bay.

International Space University (ISU) alumni Katarina Eriksson join Earth2Orbit as a Business Development Associate. Katarina is based out of Sweden and will market E2O Launch Services in Europe.
Amaresh Kollipara, USA-CEO of Earth2Orbit, is working with the Space Angels Network to help produce the 2012 Space Frontier Foundation Business Plan Competition. NASA is funding this years’ competition and the first place prize is an unprecedented $100,000. Amaresh will help coach the finalists and will help provide investment guidance to the winners of the competition.
Amaresh Kollipara, CEO-USA of Earth2Orbit, is working with the Space Angels Network and the Silicon Valley Space Business Roundtable to produce a Remote Sensing and Earth Imagery event in Silicon Valley, CA. The event will feature companies and government entities dealing with advancing remote sensing technologies and businesses. Remote sensing is currently a multi-billion dollar industry and it is poised to make major strides as costs are lowered and as technologies become more capable. Mr. Nilamani Mohanty, former Deputy Director of the ISRO Space Applications Center (SAC) joins E2O as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). During his tenure at SAC, Mr. Mohanty oversaw payload design of the 3rd and 4th generation Indian National Satellite System (INSAT) and worked as Project Director to establish the Master Control Facility (MCF) for the INSAT series of communication satellites, amongst others. The Technology Safeguards Agreement (TSA) signed by India and the US on 20 July 2009 will expand satellite launch market and boost revenues for Indian Space Research Organization's (ISRO) commercial arm Antrix Corporation. This now enables launching of non-commercial civilian satellites of USA to be launched on ISRO’s Launch Vehicles.
The new dialogue architecture between the US and India also provides for logically extending the TSA to a separate Commercial Space Launch Agreement (CSLA). The CSLA shall enable launch of commercial civilian satellites of USA to be launched on ISRO’s Launch Vehicles. |

M+W Zander FE (India) Pvt. Ltd., a company in the global M+W Zander Group to partner with E2O to provide design, engineering, construction, installation and commissioning services for high-tech facilities for the Indian aerospace sector.
Semcon (India) to partner with E2O to bring its extensive experience in the Swedish and German automotive industry into the design, fabrication and testing of human space systems for transportation, habitation and exploration. This includes expertise in the field of ergonomics, Human Machine Interaction (HMI) and industrial design.

E2O decides to develop the E-Pod, a separation adaptor between the launch vehicle and the payload. The E-Pod will be designed and fabricated in India and will cater to payloads in the 1-10 kg range.
E2O meets with the heads of the Indian Human Space Program (HSP) and the SRE Capsule Project to discuss E2O’s expertise and offerings in the design and fabrication of crew systems and high-tech facilities to support the HSP.
E2O becomes a participating member of the Fast Forward Study Team a group, formed by SpaceWorks Engineering Inc dedicated to investigating global point-to-point high-speed travel for cargo delivery. Studies will focus on space vehicles with hypersonic propulsion. Fellow members include, among others, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Virgin Galactic, and Spaceport America.
